I need some clarification! My genetic ancestors lived their lives but may have created some "ghosts" that might haunt me as I journey through my own life - perhaps problems, tasks left unfinished, emotional issues... Now there is another aspect I wonder about. What about the karma of the Self that has nothing to do with genetics. As I understand this, my Self is making my own journey without concern for genetics. So do I have to work on all of these issues?
Well, let's have a conversation about this on Saturday, if you care to bring it up in Wisdom Revealed. However, some thoughts now... that you can percolate with...
By Self, what do you mean? It sounds like you are referring to the Atman/Purusha, an individuation of The Self, the observer, the witness. Call it what you will, but I may call it the divine spark (of the one that has no second-Self), my soul self, which is not the same is you as a soul. And my soul has had many journeys we call life. And along those journeys karma has evolved. And after each journey, that imprint looks for a way to come to fruition again, and when the stars are optimal, a new evolution.
Could it be that your physical ancestors, the farmers and others who might "haunt" you, come from the same stars and you all are working on the same karma together?
What's yours to do? Whatever is showing up in this moment. And this moment. And this moment. Co-participate with whatever this current experience is.
Let me try an answer: First, it is important that the present moment is key. I am to do, be in this present moment. A liberating thought! Also important is the reality that we are all connected in the Divine infinite consciousness. So we all "rise together and/or we fall together". So my physical ancestors as well as my Self and the people I like and don't like, (we are all a part of the Divine) work together in this karma thing in this present moment. We are improving the world together, or we are making it worse. This helps me to understand why my own yoga (and meditation) are so important.

And let's discuss Saturday.

YES!!! I concur. I have a meditation I want to try out this weekend regarding this.
And thanks for sharing!
