For the final eclipse of 2024, tomorrow afternoon Ketu will eclipse the Sun at the New Moon in Virgo’s Hasta nakshatra. In addition, exalted Mercury in its own sign is also with Hasta nakshatra. Hasta is symbolized by the open hand, indicating that there is this ability to manifest one’s desires into the palm of their hand. As Hasta is considered a very humble nakshatra, there is also this lesson of learning to ask for what you want, clarifying intention and aligning with confidence that can only be found with the true self.

As much as Hasta is about openness, allowing, receiving, Ketu could be about the closed first and potentially could be making you turn away from the truth of who you are if you are in resistance and struggle.

Ketu brings us medicine from our past life merit and perfection. But as a human, we look more to Rahu’s illusions, than the truth of the past lessons.

There has been no better time than to align with the autonomy of who you are, your lessons, your medicine, and place your heart’s desires on the altar and … ask.

Ask for what you want.

Ask for what you need.

Be honest.

Big B-I-G. Take up space.

Hasta is humble so this requires some sacrifice of the ego’s false humility to claim your birthright and to step into your own power. I’m rooting for you.

Some other ramblings from the water meditation I’m so fond of; take it or leave it. I decided to add it to this post as it seems it is called for by some of you right now.

I’ve noticed there’s a certain maturity that has shown up in my sphere. Maybe it can be described as a right of passage or “the last of puberties.” Maybe this is menopause.

It has shown in many different ways in my chart and in my life and within my classes and the way I teach. What I’m seeing is that there’s some sort of cutting of the cord that’s happening. Some sort of letting go of allowing, encouraging and offering up autonomy.

It’s it’s time for all of us as women to claim our autonomy and our authority. The message is similar to that which showed up when I was going down the ravine at Hope Springs on September 8th…how in order to lead I have to be led.

I think this message is for all of us. It is time for you to lead also and still be led. I’m still creating the agenda this next quarter of yogic teachings focused on emotions and I drew the card of the Phoenix. I had already chosen fear to begin with fear is the emotion associated with the first house and the first house is what worked with on Sunday 1st house class.

Fear is associated with Rahu and Ketu, which, as the shadow planets, cause the eclipses and we have an eclipse tomorrow. Saturn and Mars are also main indicators of fear.

Interestingly, 2023 was the year of Ketu in Vedic numerology. 2024 was the year of Saturn and 2025 is the year of Mars. Ketu is our past come forward for healing, in the Phoenix archetype, the Phoenix is associated with rising from the ashes (the root, the 1st chakra ruled by Saturn) and moving up to the 3rd chakra (ruled by Mars) for transformation.

We are in process…always… and I also wanted to share these ramblings for those that are relating to this.

Journal Prompts: What is it over the last two years that has come back from the past for transformation? What are you working with. How does it related to the collective trauma that is moving forward?

There is something here for us and it related to growing up and this taking responsibility and autonomy and the ability to respond appropriately, to own our own shadows, to work with our shadows, and not even knowing what they are most likely.

In doing so, we are allowing them to come back into wholeness, which is a never-ending job. We don’t know what we don’t know until we know … so there must be an assumption that there’s more to do.

There’s more for you. You’re here. You’re in this life you’re doing these practices so on some level, it may not be obvious yet but on some level you know that there’s something you’re doing that’s a higher calling. You’re becoming bigger than this person you know and eclipse time is the time that shows that to us. It shows us what is underneath. And we may not like it. It may scare the shit out of us.
