Hello all~
Today, about the time you receive this email, the moon begins again, it’s new cycle, in Uttara Bhadra/Pisces. One of the main symbols of this nakshatra is a funeral cot or funeral bed, reminding us that life is temporary. And this realization may give us the impetus to move toward spirituality. This is a great time for self-inquiry and to look for that which never dies.

The shakti/power of Uttara Bhadra is the ability to bring rain (emotional release). Cleansing us of debris and making fertile grounds. Jupiter and Mercury are also here in Pisces supporting that Emotional Rescue.
Today is also the beginning of my spring cleanse. Ayurvedically, we cleanse twice a year and it is a practice of optimizing our physical and emotional bodies by releasing ama (toxic sludge) and increasing agni (inner fire).
Interestingly enough, the first day or two of cleansing brings a huge emotional release for most people who stick with the protocols.
In a cleanse, you are sacrificing or turning away from the material world (food, alcohol, indulgences of all matters) and allowing your focus to be on what is left without all that material attachment. Our system detoxes and cleanses and we are left with a more purified way of perceiving the world. If you have cleansed, you know what I mean. Its kinda a big deal.
This time around I’ve decided to work with the Plant Paradox method which has been a profound cleanse experience for me. There are many cleanses available and I really enjoy the Ayurvedic type cleanse protocols and as they are more gentle, I choose the Ayurvedic cleanse in the fall and the Plant Paradox in the spring (if I’m feeling up for it).
Along with modifying the food intake, I modify how much tech and social interaction I engage with. This is a time for inquiry, contemplative practice, meditation, restorative yoga.
When one cleanses their physical and subtle bodies, there is more clarity. And from that clarity can emerge a truer seed, a truer intention, that is ripe for planting - in one more month - April 22nd.

May 5th Full Moon in Vishaka (Takes the Fork in the Road, a new path) and this begins the big weekend of holistic wellness retreat I’ve been planning. This is a great time to round out this transitional period after the pandemic transit. By May 5th, we will feel like we have shed the old snakeskin and are moving forward in a new way with fresh skin. Even if you are not local, I hope you consider joining this weekend. It will be well worth the efforts and travel and if you are the camping type, let me know. Learn more here: https://subscribepage.io/2023retreat
