Today at 2:32pm the Moon is full at exact degree in Shravana nakshatra in the sign of Capricorn. We started this lunar cycle in Cancer with the new moon in Punarvasu (Return of the Light | Return to the Heart) where we set forth intention for this cycle and we are finding the peak potential for the flowering of our intentions here at the fullness in Shravana.

Shravana is the listening star and brings the power of connection. When we can marry our intellect through our heart and into our body (our deep belly), in other words connecting these three footprints, we have greater capacity to bring forth true wisdom into our lives.

Wisdom is unconditioned truth. It is truth that is not biased by politics or grooming and it is truth that is true for all, not just half of us. It is not colored from opinions, beliefs, judgements or preferences.

The Golden Rule is an example of this type of wisdom.

BUDDHISM
Treat not others in ways that you yourself would find hurtful.
Udana-Varga 5.18

CHRISTIANITY
In everything, do to others as you would have them do to you; for this is the law and the prophets.
Jesus, Matthew 7:12

ISLAM
Not one of you truly believes until you wish for others what you wish for yourself.
The Prophet Muhammad, Hadith

HINDUISM
This is the sum of duty: do not do to others what would cause pain if done to you.
Mahabharata 5:1517

JUDAISM
What is hateful to you, do not do to your neighbor. This is the whole Torah; all the rest is commentary.
Hillel, Talmud, Shabbat 31a

CONFUCIANISM
One word which sums up the basis of all good conduct… loving kindness. Do not do to others what you do not want done to yourself.
Confucius, Analects 15.23

BAHA'I FAITH
Lay not on any soul a load that you would not wish to be laid upon you, and desire not for anyone the things you would not desire for yourself.
Baha'u'llah, Gleanings

JAINISM
One should treat all creatures in the world as one would like to be treated.
Mahavira, Sutrakritanga

TAOISM
Regard your neighbor's gain as your own gain, and your neighbor's loss as your own loss.
T'ai Shang Kan Ying P'ien, 213-218

NATIVE SPIRITUALITY
We are as much alive as we keep the earth alive.
Chief Dan George

SIKHISM I am a stranger to no one; and no one is a stranger to me. Indeed, I am a friend to all.
Guru Granth Sahib, pg.1299

UNITARIANISM
We affirm and promote respect for the interdependent web of all existence of which we are a part.
Unitarian principle

ZOROASTRIANISM
Do not do unto others whatever is injurious to yourself.
Shayast-na-Shayast 13.29

When our politics is dividing us into us and them and negating this Golden Rule, that is not of wisdom. This is conditioned beliefs and defenses in action to protect what is not rightfully ours anyway.

I also realize this is a moot point and how the world operates.

Yoga, Restoration and Peace Practices are not about division from 1 to 2.

Yoga is about unification from 2 to 1…

and then from that 1, learning how to skillfully and choicefully move back to 2 with loving kindness emanating from our hearts and the words we speak and actions we take.

Yoga is about re-membering. Again.

And again.

And….

Again.

Namaste.

PS…throughout this month we are dealing with four retrograde planets (Saturn, Jupiter, Venus and Mercury) which generally means more intensity, depending on your personal natal chart. It affects us all differently.
