Ardra | The Storm

Moon in Ardra + Shukla Tritiya (3rd lunar day after new moon)

You may have noticed the last few days, I have less to write. I’ve noticed when the Moon is close to Ardra, I do get a little emotional. Today is no exception as the Moon transits Ardra, The Storm.

Ardra brings the power to feel and act (actions speak louder than words) so less words are needed, at least for me. That isn’t always the case but I’d be curious if a wordy Ardra is trying not to feel the feels and thus becomes wordy instead. This is the power of catharsis, of healing the troubles that the growing and searching got us into from Rohini and Mrigashira.

Now a storm comes to clean the slate.

Ardra is the sixth nakshatra of the Zodiac and is represented by the symbol of the teardrop, which is a cleansing. Here we are gaining the ability to take the discipline needed for our further evolution. Before we were not interested in discipline, just growing and exploring.

Ardra is ruled by Rahu, the north node of the Moon and indicates smoke created to create an illusion to compel us into the stormy waters to gain discipline.

Ardra is always about mastery of storms, not being defeated by them. It is what it is.

(Sidenote: Last night I was unusually cranky with my husband and really all the family. There really wasn’t a reason and Jess was asking about the Moon cycle. It was nice having someone point this out to me. I may not have been the most disciplined but I was trying.)

When Moon transits Ardra, like it is doing today, you might notice these emotional moments that are leading you toward some sort of catharsis or the ability to find self-discipline in some sphere of life.

And the song for Ardra…

Would love to hear if this resonated for you, and how.

This is so on point. My natal

Moon is in Ardra. It certainly doesn’t FEEL like discipline or mastery yesterday and today 😂 but I can see how it could lead there.
