I’m always amazed that when I set my intentions toward a certain thing, the universe surrounds me and heeds my call. It does this with all of us. Sometimes we are consciously putting our intentions out there and sometimes we are unconsciously doing that
(we’re still reaping what was sown - even when unconscious).
Creating a containment of a 40 day practice is conscious alignment. Today is Day 11. Have you been tracking shifts and changes through your practice? 11 days ago I chose a Yoga Nidra meditation. I’m really going for 100 days, but starting with 40 days guided then moving toward 60 days self-guided. It is a lofty endeavor for me, but already paying off in so many ways with deeper awareness, heartfelt connections with others, intuition - seeing before seeing and knowing before knowing.
I hear this move through when I share in class. I think some of you have heard this, too.
40 Days comes at a time when a peace practice is paramount to my sanity. My heart aches. And yet I go deep in the heart every day. The world is changing - err the world has changed. Mentally I’m still catching up. The pioneering is ending and the settling has started.
Today Mars moves into Capricorn where it is exalted. Venus will be there shortly. They are still together within the same degree point, creating havoc and now Mars is even stronger and will remain strong through this Capricorn transit. If ever inner peace was needed, it is now. (Watch the update video if you want more 411).
Mars gives the warrior courage to keep going deep into the heart even amidst heart ache. It takes warrior courage to declare peace and to claim it for myself.
Moon is in Purva Ashada today, the martyr energy of knowing it can never lose…but also feeling victimized by it’s situation. That is what martyr energy can be like. And it is the auspicious 11th day - Ekadashi. A time when profound change can happen. At noon today, I start a new program with a few individuals to deepen into the upper limbs of yoga - the subtle aspects of meditation and peace that passes all understanding. It sounds like a lofty agenda. I’m glad for this energy so that it keeps us forging ahead even when we undoubtedly will doubt ourselves, including me.
