A Time for Nourishment
Revati: Venus Exalted + Jupiter in Pisces
Revati is the star/nakshatra that represents nourishment, in fact, the deity that presides over this star is Pushan who is known as “the light bearer, nourisher, protector and finder of lost things and animals (a shepherd), a guardian angel, the lamb of God” just to summarize the energy.
The shakti (power) of this star is to give nourishment, material or spiritual, to give food for thought.
This is my rising star and this is a pretty benefic time for me as my planetary ruler, Jupiter is here transiting Revati now, and a few days ago, beautiful Venus, arrived, where she is exalted and ready to deliver beautiful things.
We can think about friendships, luxury, closely relating… I’ve spent my week relishing my BFF’s visit (and her birthday is during this transit), walking with another friend, a three hour (!) astrological reading with an old friend yesterday followed by a 2-hour tear-filled lunch (tears of the hearts being touched) and I expect this continues on through March 12th for me when Venus arrives in Aries.
So you can see how powerful these transits can be, this is great nourishment for my soul right now and as I’ve had a particularly hard start to the year, its a promise of hope that was needed as I move forward.
Revati is also symbolized by a single fish. It is the fish that can go in any direction, 360 degrees and three-dimensional opportunity. It is the last of the Zodiac and symbolizes be led to a new life, an “after.” I’m so curious what is coming next for all of us.
We are grass growing…nature…being influenced by the ebb and flow of the elements which are carried by these astrological transits. It’s a cobweb of interconnectedness and by surrendering to it, magic happens.
Magic being my codeword for the wonderment that arises by seeing this underlying mundane and cosmic patternings.
Today’s writing is meant to be a “save the date” for what is coming astrologically and also what I’ll be writing about and facilitating in our Saturday Online Restorative classes that support these cycles and transits.
March 7th Full Moon in Purva Phalguni Leo (Life Is GOOD)
March 12th Venus enters Aries
March 14th I begin a 40-day sadhana (practice) that supports clearing my bodymind of impurities so I gain clarity on what my real intention is at this juncture (I do this yearly, I’m just late to the game this year, for good reason apparently).
March 22-30 is my Spring Cleanse (during spring Navratri). I’ll write a bit about what cleansing is.
April 6th Full Moon in Hasta Virgo (Manifestation energy)
Apr 20th Total Solar Eclipse New Moon Ashwini (The Initiation, and Healing)
Apr 23rd Jupiter enters Aries for a new 12-year cycle of growth and inspiration
Apr 23 is one of the most auspicious days, Akshaya Tritya when both the Sun and Moon are exalted in Aries and Taurus. Also Jupiter, Rahu and Mercury are in Aries. Venus is with Moon in Rohini. I’ll have more to say later.
May 5th Full Moon in Vishaka (Takes the Fork in the Road, a new path) and this begins the big weekend of holistic wellness retreat I’ve been planning. This is a great time to round out this transitional period after the pandemic transit. By May 5th, we will feel like we have shed the old snakeskin and are moving forward in a new way with fresh skin. Even if you are not local, I hope you consider joining this weekend. Can you see why I’m relishing this time. Of course, it all is relative to my personal astrology and for you it will look different but hopefully you feel radiance, alive and well.
